Congratulation to the Second Team for gaining promotion to Division 4.  An appeal to the League was required for them to see the errors of their ways and after all the other goings on last season over rearranged games the promotion was richly deserved.

First XI open with a trip to Truro for the first ever game between the two teams.  1st XI say goodbye, hopeful for only a short while, to Will Geach as he moves to Boconnoc because of work comittments and the arrival of daughter (Emily) which arrived in mid Feb (Congratulation and enjoy the sleepless nights).

Indoor leagues - Tideford finished runners up in the league and are through to the final of the cup.

David Carter becomes new First team captain as Mark Lister stands down after 2 seasons.

Location
Tideford Cricket Club is located in South East Cornwall close to the ancient village of St Germans on the upper reaches of the river Lynher.

From Liskeard on the A38 to Plymouth; one mile after Trerulefoot roundabout turn right onto the B3249 road to St Germans.

From Plymouth on the A38, pass through Tideford and take the first turning left - the B3249 to St Germans.

After about one mile on the B3249 (and two sharp left bend) the ground entrance is on the left hand side before the third bend. Grid reference 347583 on Ordnance Survey Landranger Map No 201. Due to the nature of the entrance care should be exercise when entering and leaving the ground.

The ground grading results for 2003 have been received and they highlight the continued progress made with pitch, square and outfield all receiving and average around the 8/10 mark (very good). Only the outfield was slightly lower. Congratulations to Ian Trundley and others who have helped to achieve this result last season.
